Surf Fishing Tips

A lot of anglers try to get the line out as far as possible, which will turn out not to be the best place. Watch the white caps in front of each wave. This shows where the sand bars are and where the troughs are. Where the waves are breaking is where the sand bars are. In front and behind the sand bars will be the troughs. That’s where the fish are and here you want to cast to.

Keep in mind, best surf fishing is 2 hours before and 2 hours after low or high tide.  In between you will not catch a lot of fish if any.

Also, put the bait on the hook to look as natural as possible. Do not put the hook again and again through the bait as this does not look natural. Just put the hook through the front of the bait and let the rest float freely.
